The Littmann® CORE Stethoscope is a 3M™ Littmann® Cardiology IV™ Stethoscope that is pre-assembled with the Eko CORE Digital Attachment. This stethoscope is manufactured and tested by 3M™ Littmann®. The CORE Digital Attachment is manufactured and tested by Eko and works with most traditional stethoscopes.

The Eko CORE Digital Attachment provides wireless functionality utilizing Bluetooth technology when using the Eko iOS and Android Apps. It pairs with Bluetooth-enabled headphones, hearing aids, and speakers. The Eko CORE Digital Attachment transmits sounds via Bluetooth with your stethoscope earpieces attached or unattached, making your stethoscope a wireless stethoscope.

Because the Eko CORE Digital Attachment is compatible with most single lumen traditional stethoscopes, it's built for use by any healthcare provider, including doctors, nurses, EMTs/first-responders, veterinarians, and students. (Note: The Eko CORE Digital Attachment will not work with double lumen stethoscopes such as the Sprague Rappaport.)

The Eko CORE Digital Attachment includes adapters to fit adult, pediatric, and infant (neonatal) stethoscopes, and is intended to be used with adult and pediatric patients.

The CORE Digital Attachment has been tested with 3M Littmann Cardiology II/III/IV, WelchAllyn Harvey Elite, Medline and ADC analog stethoscopes. It is compatible with most single lumen analog stethoscopes. (Please note that the Eko CORE Digital Attachment is NOT compatible with Sprague Rappaport-type, double lumen tube stethoscopes, or other digital stethoscopes.

We recommend running the tubing under hot water for a minute. The hot water will soften and loosen the tubing material and make it significantly easier to pull away from the chestpiece.

There are three primary ways the Eko CORE supports clinicians with hearing loss.

• Amplified sounds help users hear low frequency sounds more clearly.
• Visualizing sound waveforms (phonocardiograms) on the Eko App helps the user confirm the sounds they are hearing.
• The Eko App pairs with Bluetooth-enabled hearing aids, cochlear implants, and streaming devices.

The Eko CORE Digital Attachment has up to 8 hours of battery life.

Eko has not tested all wireless headphones or earbuds. However, we have tested these, and have found that they perform very well: Apple Airpods, Apple Airpods Pro, Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless 2, MPOW X3, Lypertek Tevi, Klipsh T5, Sony WF-XB700 and WF-1000XM3, and Boltune BT-BH020

We do not recommend disassembling the stethoscope. The 3M™ Littmann® CORE Digital Stethoscope is not designed to have the stethoscope tubing piece removed.

Yes, the 3M™ Littmann® CORE Digital Stethoscope supports wireless auscultation using the Eko App and Bluethooth headphones or earbuds. The 3M™ Littmann® CORE Digital Stethoscope also pairs with select Bluetooth-enabled hearing aids when using the Eko App.

Eko DUO is a pocket-sized cardiac examination system used to electronically amplify, filter, and transfer body sounds and single-channel electrocardiogram (ECG) waveforms and facilitate timely care for patients in and out of the clinic. By combining ECG and auscultation, clinicians get more information at a glance without disrupting workflow or running costly tests. DUO is FDA-cleared that enables clinicians to capture, transmit, and analyze electromechanical information in as little as 15 seconds from the clinic or the comfort of patients’ homes.

The latest generation of DUO is optimized for a wireless workflow through enhanced Bluetooth connectivity with most wireless listening devices allowing clinicians to assess patients freely and untethered. DUO can still be purchased with removable earpieces to be used like a traditional stethoscope to meet any provider’s preference.

The 2nd generation DUO was introduced for sale by Eko on August 15, 2021. It offers improved ECG quality, sound quality, Bluetooth signal strength, and battery performance. It’s enhanced connectivity simplifies the workflow for clinicians who prefer to perform exams wirelessly. The 2nd generation DUO can also be purchased with earpieces for clinicians who prefer to use DUO like a traditional stethoscope.

DUO was designed for the versatility to listen and assess the way you want. You may choose to purchase DUO with or without earpieces. There are no limitations or compromises on utility or performance with either option. The choice is based entirely on the user's preference.

Both DUO selections come with a threaded 3.5 jack that accepts DUO Earpiece, wired headphones, or audio cable. DUO supports wireless listening with most Bluetooth headphones, hearing aids, and other audio devices. Even if you purchase DUO with an earpiece, you can detach the earpiece and connect to a Bluetooth-enabled device at any time.

The Eko DUO ECG + Digital Stethoscope is only a digital stethoscope and cannot be used in analog mode like the Eko CORE or 3M Littmann CORE. The Eko DUO ECG + Digital Stethoscope amplifies up to 60x, with 12 volume settings and Bluetooth functionality so it can wirelessly connect with the Eko App.

Here are some tips to ensure you are getting the highest quality ECG readings for animals:

1. Wet the fur with water
2. Use ECG gel if wetting the fur doesn't help
3. Always use the DUO on the least hairy spots (under the armpits usually work)
4. Shave the hair in the area

The DUO is only a digital stethoscope and cannot be used in analog mode like the Eko CORE stethoscopes. DUO amplifies the body sounds with 12 volume settings and Bluetooth functionality so it can wirelessly connect with the Eko App and Bluetooth devices.

Eko Analysis Software or Eko AI is FDA-cleared software that includes screening algorithms to assist clinicians in detecting suspected murmurs and AFib. A subscription may be required for AI-analysis.

Eko stethoscopes and software are purpose-built for telemedicine. Eko supports telemedicine programs for individual providers, small clinics and multi-site hospitals. A subscription may be required for telemedicine live streaming.

The DUO can last up to 10 hours of continuous use on a full charge and has up to 1-year standby time.

The two ECG electrodes are made of stainless steel. They are designed to work dry, that is, without any gel or cream, however gels or creams can improve the signal quality in some situations.

Eko DUO ECG + Digital Stethoscope has not been tested for accuracy with ECG recordings taken from users with pacemakers or other cardiac implanted electronic devices.
