Follow this simple 3 step process to attach the Eko Core to your analog stethoscope. The process should take less than 1 minute to complete.
Step 1: Detach the Chest Piece
Remove chest piece of the analog stethoscope manually. Grip the chest piece with one hand and the tubing in the other and pull them apart. This may require some force.
Step 2: Install CORE and Chestpiece
There are two sizes of tubing connectors in the box, one for regular stethoscopes and one for pediatric. Select the correct tubing size and screw the tubing connecter into the CORE (end closest to the power toggle). Note: if you are unable to screw it in, you may be on the wrong end; make sure you're at the end of the core closest to the power toggle. Once connected, go ahead and insert the chestpiece/diaphragm into the tubing.
Step 3: Attach CORE to Stethoscope Tubing
On the other end of the CORE, select the corresponding barb (either pediatric or regular) and screw it into the base of the CORE. At this time, you can connect the barb to the stethoscope tubing.
