Initiating a Session with your Provider
Step 1: Open the Eko Telehealth App and click Patients to begin logging in.
Step 2: Login using your phone number and a PIN provided by your provider.
Step 3: Click Start Session to begin the video call with your provider.
Step 4: Your video call will begin, first by showing yourself on the screen and then your provider, once the video is connected. If necessary, you can mute your audio by clicking the microphone icon in the bottom left. If you or your provider are experiencing any audio feedback, please use a pair of wired headphones.
Step 5: When instructed by your provider, click Live Stream in the upper right corner to initiate.
If you have not done so already, you will be prompted to connect your Eko device. Turn on your Eko CORE or Eko DUO and click Set Up Device.
Step 6: Once your device is connected for Live Stream, your provider will instruct you to either show Lung sounds or Heart sounds. You can switch between the two by clicking on Lung and Heart in the bar at the top of the screen.
When using the Heart view, make sure you use the signal quality indicator at the bottom of the screen (which will move between red and green based on the signal) to get a good reading. Your provider can instruct you on how to get the best signal with Eko CORE and Eko DUO. If using Eko DUO, we recommend placing the device directly on your skin (see image below), holding still and applying some pressure.
Step 7: If instructed by your provider, you can create a recording by clicking the round button at the bottom of the screen. Do not move the Eko device while the recording is in progress. When the recording is complete, you will see that indicated on the screen.
Step 8: To end the Live Stream, you can simply turn off the Eko device or click the back arrow in the upper left of the screen. When you are finished with your Video call, you can hang up by clicking the red phone icon in the bottom right.
