Initiate a live stream April 17, 2023 15:31 Updated Who is this for? ✓ Plan: Telehealth platform for enterprise institutions ✓ Role: Clinician, Site If you’re at the originating site with a patient and an Eko device, you can start a live stream so that a distant site provider can listen remotely. This is typically used where there is a cart or Eko endpoint that multiple people use at the originating site where the patient, and Eko device, is located. Here’s the general process: Sign into the Eko App or Eko Dashboard. Pair the Eko device with either the Eko App or the Eko Dashboard. Start the live stream from either the Eko App or Eko Dashboard. Share the live stream link (if required). Distant provider listens to the live stream either with the link or with the Eko Dashboard. About live stream links A live stream link for a site or clinician is always the same URL. It can be shared with many different people, who can save the link and navigate to it anytime they want to listen to the live stream. It can also be reset when needed by your Institution Admin or Program Admin. Live stream from the Eko Dashboard Watch the video 1. Sign into the Eko Dashboard Sign into the Eko Dashboard with the credentials your institution provided for your site. The cart or endpoint you’re using may already be signed in. 2. Pair the Eko device See Pair an Eko device with web pairing on the Eko Dashboard. 3. Start the live stream On the web pairing screen, click the Live Stream toggle to on. The live stream is now live. To turn off the live stream, either click the Live Stream toggle to off or click the Exit button on the bottom right. 4. Share the live stream link You can copy and share the live stream link with a distant site provider if that’s part of your workflow. The link can be dropped into a chat or sent with email. The provider can either open the link and listen anonymously or listen through the Eko Dashboard if they have an account and are signed in. On the web pairing screen, click the Copy Link button. Send the link to the distant site provider. 5. Distant provider listens to live stream If the distant provider listens anonymously with the link, this is what they’ll see: If the distant provider has an Eko account and is signed into the Eko Dashboard, they can either listen with the link you sent, or they can navigate to your site’s live stream from the Dashboard. The Quick Record screen opens. On the right, tap Live Stream. The Live Stream panel opens. Tap the Start Live Stream toggle to turn on the live stream. To turn off the live stream, simply turn off the Eko device, or tap the Start Live Stream toggle to off. The live stream can be left on if several patients are scheduled to be seen throughout the day. Providers can use the same link you shared previously, which can be saved as a “favorite” within their internet browser. 4. Share the live stream link You can copy and share the live stream link with a distant site provider if that’s part of your workflow. The link can be dropped into a chat or sent with email. The provider can either open the link and listen anonymously or listen through the Eko Dashboard if they have an account and are signed in. Email To email the link, in the Live Stream panel, tap Email Live Stream Link. Enter one or more email addresses. When you enter an email, another email field will automatically appear below it. Tap Send. An email with the link is sent. Share To share the link, in the Live Stream panel, tap Share Live Stream Link. Follow your phone’s prompts for selecting how to share the link, such as through text message or chat. 5. Distant provider listens to live stream If the distant provider listens anonymously with the link, this is what they’ll see: If the distant provider has an Eko account and is signed into the Eko Dashboard, they can either listen with the link you sent, or they can navigate to your site’s live stream from the Dashboard.
