The CORE 500™ has 3 audio filter modes that have been optimized for the unique frequency of body sounds. The filters pass specific frequency ranges of the audio signal and reduce frequencies that could be distracting. This provides a clearer listening experience.
The audio filter is shown at the top of the screen:
Audio filter descriptions
The filters are:
The wide filter is used for all body sounds and is optimized for general use. It’s also best for listening to bowel sounds.
It includes:
-
Real-time heart rate in beats per minute (BPM)
-
ECG
-
AI analysis
-
Auto record
The cardiac filter is used for heart sounds and includes:
-
Real-time heart rate in beats per minute (BPM)
-
ECG
-
AI analysis
-
Auto record
We recommend using the wide filter first because it has the widest bandwidth for all body sounds. Then, the cardiac and pulmonary filters can be selected to focus on specific sounds for those use cases.
For example, you start auscultating with the wide filter, then change to the cardiac filter to focus on cardiac sounds. Finally, you change to the lung sounds and auscultate the patient’s back.
Press the top button for less than one second to change to a different audio filter.
When the CORE 500™ is connected to the Eko App, the current filter shows on the bottom right of the waveform grid. When you change the filter on the CORE 500™, the filter is also changed in the app.
You can also change the filter in the app. Here's how:
