The Listen screen is a flexible method for auscultating a range of body sounds. You can simply turn on your Eko device, open the Eko App, and start listening to body sounds once your device connects to the app.
Some examples for using the Listen screen are:
-
Listening to a range of heart, lung, or bowel sounds.
-
Visualizing the data with the waveform and real-time heart rate in beats per minute (BPM) while auscultating.
-
Changing the audio filter.
-
Using wireless listening.
-
Selecting whether to take a recording* or a guided, 4-point cardiac exam.*
Note: Your Eko App screens may differ from what's shown here.
The Listen screen shows a waveform for phonocardiogram (PCG) and ECG tracings. What is shown on the waveform varies by Eko device:
-
The CORE 500™ shows 3 ECG tracings (for cardiac and wide audio filters) and 1 PCG tracing.
-
The DUO™ shows 1 ECG tracing and 1 PCG tracing.
-
The CORE™ Attachment or 3M™ Littmann® CORE Digital Stethoscope shows 1 PCG tracing.
At the bottom of the waveform, the real-time heart rate in beats per minute (BPM) is shown. If the heart rate can't be detected, 2 dashes show instead.
Here are the overall steps for using the Listen screen:
The Eko App should automatically connect your Eko device via Bluetooth pairing after the first time you use the app. If you need help with connecting your device, see instructions here.
