Connect an Eko device

The next section under My Device is where you can connect an Eko device. Once an Eko device is connected, this section shows an image of the device, the device name, and the battery level. You can also connect a device from bottom of the Encounters screen when you first open the Eko App.

Bluetooth pairing is used to connect the Eko device to the Eko App. Here’s how.

  • Record automatically - allows a recording to begin automatically when a good signal is detected.
  • Analyze every recording - automatically screens for abnormalities for every recording (Eko+ Membership required).
  • Recording Length - change between 5s and 15s recordings without AI analysis. For AI analysis, 15s is required when Analyze every recording is enabled.
  • Autostart an encounter - starts a new encounter when a new device connects
  • Assign patient upfront - assign patient at the beginning or an encounter, rather than after a recording is taken.
  • Auto-connect last device - automatically connect to the most recently connected device.
  • ECG mains filter - Switch between 50Hz and 60Hz, so that noise coming from the AC powerline is minimized. The setting will differ depending on which country you are in. 60 Hz is mostly used in North America and Northern South America with household electrical outlets. The UK, Africa, South America, and Australia tend to have household electrical currents of 50Hz.
