If you're experiencing low sound amplification through the stethoscope earpiece, check the following:
- Make sure that the CORE is turned on so that the white light is on.
- Press the ‘+’ button to increase the volume of the device.
- Make sure that the chestpiece is rotated to the appropriate side so that the indicator mark is aligned with the side of the diaphragm that you’re using.
- Make sure that Volume Boost is turned on in the Eko App. Navigate to the Quick Record screen and tap on Audio.
- Toggle on Play from Headphones.
- Make sure you're increasing the phone's sound volume. Adjusting the CORE volume will only affect the volume through the stethoscope earpiece.
- If listening to audio playback, make sure your phone ringer is not on silent.
- Play from Headphones must be turned on in the Eko App settings.
- Navigate to the Quick Record screen and tap Audio.
- Toggle on Play from Headphones.
- Use wired headphones plugged into your phone to get the best audio quality.
- Turn the volume up on your phone to get maximum amplification.
Note
Amplification during playback will likely be lower than during live auscultation.
