Print it. Play back or download the audio file. View the visualization of the waveform. View any notes about the recording. You can choose to share the report with several common options available on your mobile device, such as by text message, email, or any other apps. The report is sent from the app as a PDF that includes a secure link to listen to the audio file for each position. The recipient can access the audio clip directly from the report without having to sign in. You can share a recording from the patient profile screen or from the results screen after a recording has been taken. You can select whether or not to include or remove patient information. Important We strongly recommend omitting any personally identifiable patient information or protected health information (PHI). Any notes will be included when sharing a recording with others. This may violate HIPAA provisions. You are responsible for maintaining HIPAA compliance when sharing patient recordings. Share a recording from a patient profile Use this method if you’re sharing a recording that’s already been taken and assigned to a patient profile. On the bottom toolbar, tap Patients. The Patient Recordings screen opens. Search for the patient by typing the patient’s name or MRN into the search field. Tap the patient’s profile. Any recordings for the patient show in a list. Tap the recording you want to share. The recording opens. On the bottom, tap Share. A screen pops up with options available on your mobile device for sharing. Some options will depend on what’s available on your device. Tap the method you want to use for sharing and follow the instructions on your mobile device. Tip If your mobile device gives you the option, you may be able to print the PDF report directly to a printer. Share a recording from the results screen Take a spot check, full cardiac exam, or quick record on the app. On the results screen, on the bottom, tap Share. A screen pops up with options available on your mobile device for sharing. Some options will depend on what’s available on your device. Tap the method you want to use for sharing and follow the instructions on your mobile device. Tip If your mobile device gives you the option, you may be able to print the PDF report directly to a printer. Open a report From whatever method the report was shared, such as to an email, the recipient can open the PDF report. The recipient can view or print the report, if desired. To open the audio file, the recipient can click the Audio link. A secure web page opens with the recording. The recording can be played back and downloaded. Remove patient information from reports You can select whether or not you want to include sensitive patient information, such as their name, MRN, and DOB, when sharing a report. The sharing feature has an Omit Patient Information setting. You can either select the setting in the app settings or during the first time you’re sharing an assigned recording. The setting will stay turned on until you deselect it in the app settings. Note: This setting is off by default. You’ll need to turn on the setting to start using it. In the app settings Tap the Menu button in the bottom toolbar. Tap App Settings. Scroll down to Sharing Reports and toggle on Omit Patient Information. Patient information will be removed from all reports. Sharing a recording for the first time In an assigned recording, tap the Share button on the bottom left. A popup appears with the option to include or exclude patient information. In the popup, tap Omit Patient Information. The report is created without the patient information and this setting is saved for future reports. Note: You can change this setting later in the app settings as described above.
