Eko periodically releases new features to improve your stethoscope. You'll be notified of any device updates when you connect your Eko device to the Eko App. Updates can be either:
- Required: You must update the firmware before continuing with the app or device.
- Optional: You can update the firmware when you choose.
The updates are done through the app. Here's how.
Note: Your Eko App screens may differ from what's shown here.

When a firmware update is available for your Eko device, once your device is connected to the Eko App, a screen shows with the information about the update.

Click Install Update. The screen shows the progress of the update.

When a firmware update is available for your Eko device, once your device is connected to the Eko App, a screen shows with the information about the update.
- Click Install Update to install the update now.
- Click Install Later to install the update at a later time.

If you choose to install later, the Menu screen shows that a device update is available and an orange dot shows on the Menu button until the update is installed. Tap Get Started when you're ready to install the update.
Troubleshooting Firmware Update Issues
If you are having trouble updating your firmware, please try these steps:
- Delete the Eko App from your device.
- Go to your device's Bluetooth settings and forget your Eko stethoscope.
- Redownload the Eko app from the App Store or Google Play.
- Reconnect your stethoscope to the app and attempt the firmware update again.
